The LM300 Radiometer from TPC can measure the light power from 100 mW/cm2 up to 2,000 mW/cm2.

measuring the visible light output from all dental LED (Light Emitting Diode) polymerization activators (curing lights) with 8mm or larger light guides.

User Notes:

  1. Open the LM-300 LED Radiometer battery cover to connect the positive and negative
    leads to the battery. Close battery cover.
  2. Turn on the power switch located under the LCD screen. The screen will illuminate
    Indicating the LM-300 LED Radiometer is ready for use.
  3. Centre the tip of the light guide (8mm or larger) over the aperture of the LM-300 LED
    Radiometer then activate the curing light directly the light source into the LM300 LED
    Radiometer. Be sure to align the curing light tip directly over the aperture minimize the
    the amount of escapable light. Read the output in mW/cm2 and note the reading for
    comparison with the next routine test.

 

Less than 300 mW/cm2: Low output
300-500 mW/cm2: Test composite to determine curing time
500-800 mW/cm2: Use manufacturers recommended curing time
Over 800 mW/cm2: High output- reduce curing time appropriately

CAUTION: Equipment is not suitable for use in the presence of an anaesthetic mixture with air or nitrous oxide.
